Yes. Both use OpenAI's Whisper for transcription. VoxWave uses whisper-large-v3-turbo via Groq for cloud mode (sub-3-second end-to-end) and faster-whisper for the offline mode. Superwhisper uses local Whisper models on Mac. Output quality is comparable on the same audio.

Yes. After transcription, VoxWave runs the text through GPT-4o-mini to strip filler words ('uh', 'um', 'so like'), fix punctuation, and adapt to the active app (VS Code → code profile, Slack → casual, Word → formal). It's the same idea as Superwhisper's modes, with context detection added.

Does VoxWave inject text into any app like Superwhisper?

Yes — via the clipboard (Ctrl+V), which works in every Windows app. No special integrations or permissions required. Slack, VS Code, Cursor, Word, terminals, browsers, your custom CRM, all of them.
